Time Change North America 2020
In North America two countries make their clocks jump twice a year for fullfilling the time change. Canada and the USA change their times in the beginning of March and the end of November every year. In comparison to Europe the time change to daylight savings time happens 3 weeks earlier. The change back, however, 1 week later. Due to that the time lag between North America and Europe is reduced by an hour for 3 + 1 weeks. Likewise Europe the clocks jump from 3 to 2 in spring and vice versa in fall.
Time Change Middle America 2020
Participating countries in Middle America are Cuba and Mexico. Both make their clocks jump twice a week. Mexico examines its time change according to its northern neighbor countries USA and Canada by changing the time from 2 to 3 in the beginning of March and vice versa at the end of November. Cuba makes their clocks jump on the same date, but at a different time: the time get changed from midnight to 1 am and vice versa.
Time Change South America 2020
Brazil, Chile and Uruguay are the time changing countries in South America.
When taking a closer look, all 3 countries have different dates to change the time: Brazil changes to daylight savings time in February, Uruguay at the beginning of March and Chile at the end of April. Clocks are changed from midnight to 11 pm (Brazil und Chile) and 2 to 1 am (Uruguay). Brazil changes back to winter time in Ocotber, Chile and Urugay at the beginning of October.
Time Change Africa 2020
There are two countries in Africa regularly changing their time twice a year. Morocco changes according to Europe at the end of March and October from 2 to 3 and vice versa. Namibia jumps its clocks to daylight savings time from 1 to 2 am at the beginning of April and gets back to winter time at the beginning of September.
